PURPOSE:
To evaluate the results of surgical treatment of primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) using resorbable, slowly resorbable and nonresorbable of drainages in patients with pseudophakia
METHODS:
Pseudophakic patients with grade 2-3 POAG who underwent anti-glaucoma surgery using various types of drains were enrolled in this study. A total of 141 eyes were treated and examined. First group - 40 eyes, 28.3% with implanted resorbable drainage , the second group - 40 eyes , 28.3%  with implanted  hydrophilic slowly resorbable collagen drainage ,  the third group - 40 eyes, 28.3% with implanted collagen non resorbable drainage. In the control group (20, 14.9% eyes) patients with sinustrabeculectomy with basal iridectomy (STE+BI) without drainage implantation were studied
RESULTS:
In the first group, after 2 years of observations, IOP decreased from 29.4±7.8 mm Hg., to 18,29±3,67 mm Hg.; in the second group from 29.8±7.5 mm Hg., to  18,6±2,15mm Hg.; in the third group from 29.6±3.12 mm Hg., to 18,3±0,47   mm Hg., in in the control group from 31.6 ±4.8 mm Hg., to 20,6±3,95mm Hg., which corresponded to the results of tonography and ultrasound biomicroscopy (USBM) of the anterior segment of the eye and optical coherence tomography (OCT).
CONCLUSIONS:
In the long-term postoperative period the overall qualifying success of the operation tends to decrease. In all the studied groups, over time, there is a need to return to antihypertensive therapy. The most persistent qualifying success of operations is noted in groups with the use of resorbable and non-resorbable drains
