PURPOSE:
As the population undergoing corneal refractive surgery (particularly LASIK) gradually enters middle and advanced age, the precise calculation of intraocular lens (IOL) power for these patients during cataract surgery has become a significant challenge in ophthalmic practice.
METHODS:
This article explores the core reasons for the difficulties in IOL power calculation after LASIK—corneal refractive error measurement errors and deviations in effective lens position prediction.
RESULTS:
It systematically reviews the current application status of IOL calculation formulas post-LASIK, the predictive efficacy of different formula types, key factors affecting calculation accuracy, and clinical optimization strategies.
CONCLUSIONS:
The aim is to provide evidence-based references for optimizing the selection of IOL calculation formulas for such patients and improving the precisio
